1. iRobot Roomba s9+

The irobot roomba mop Roomba s9+ is a sophisticated vacuum that performs hard and is able to handle all kinds of homes. It doesn't have all the bells and whistles that you find in other top models of robot vacuums, but it has the basic features you'll require in a quality household cleaner, including outstanding cleaning performance, simple maintenance, a simple remote control and an automatic dirt disposal system that will keep your dust bin from overflowing too quickly.

The bronze disk on the top and the D-shaped body give it a stylish appearance. It's slightly larger than the round bodies of most other robot vacuums, but it's too heavy to carry from room to room. The square front design makes it easier to navigate corners and walls, compared to other robots with circular bodies.

The s9+ stands out from other Roomba models by its sophisticated mapping technology called vSLAM. It makes use of a number of sensors to create a map of your home, which can eliminate long runs and missed places. You can also make use of the app to label specific rooms or select an "room-size clean" that balances run duration by using suction power.

The s9+ is a strong vacuum cleaner that can get deep into the carpet and remove pet hair and large debris. It was good at navigating around obstacles and furniture, but missed a few bits of kosher sea salt in a corner of our carpeted test floor. It can be controlled with an app that is simple to use or voice commands via an audio device connected to the device. The app lets you create a schedule for daily or weekly cleaning, and adjust power settings for the best results. The s9+ features an automatic dirt disposal system, which means you don't need to empty it. The app will inform you when the container is full.

Roomba from iRobot

The i7+ Roomba robot is one of the most effective. It has self-emptying technology that allows for weeks of hands-off cleaning, and granular mapping that allows it to clean specific furniture pieces. It's also compatible with Alexa and Google Assistant so you can control it using your voice.

The setup is fairly painless. The i7+ and Clean Base pair up over Wi-Fi and do a few exploratory runs without vacuuming to generate maps of the home. Once you've done that, you can start a cleaning task in the app or say "Hey Alexa - vacuum the master bedroom" and the i7+ automatically will undock and then roll over before starting working.

In our tests, we found that the i7+ was able to perform well on both hardwood flooring and low-pile rug. It was meticulous and left no dusty debris behind. It even did a great job of tackling our cereal test, where it was able to take in a few large chunks and bits of milk that were scattered from the bowl.

The i7+ is a great device, but its battery life of only 2 hours is not enough for multi-room sessions. The i7+ also has a limited dustbin capacity, even though it comes with a separate bin disposal system.

The i7+ is susceptible to getting caught in long hair or rug tassels. You'll need to manually clean it every now and then. The app lets you keep tabs on the i7+'s status, schedule cleaning times, and more. It even comes with a full bin sensor that tells you when the bin is getting empty. The app also provides the option of labelling rooms, which is a good feature for pet owners or kids with long hair that sheds.

As with other non-mapping robot vacuums, this one uses a combination of sensors and software to find its route around the space. It travels in straight lines until it hits something, and then it adjusts its route. In my tests, I discovered it took approximately 90 minutes to finish a full room cleaning. The 694 then returns to its dock for a recharge and to empty its dirt container.

In my test of comparison I observed that the irobot vacuum sale 694" performed best on bare floors. However, it was unable to remove larger pieces of debris such as rice or cereal. It also had difficulty taking large pieces of sand in carpets with a low pile. The RoboVac 30C, on the other hand has a larger dustbin and performs better on all floor types. It also feels better-built, incurs lower recurring expenses, charges more quickly and maneuvers itself more effectively.

4. iRobot Roomba i3 EVO

The i3 EVO is a great value, and comes with many of the advanced features of Roombas which cost more. It has a self emptying bin, which uses mapping to understand the structure of your home and cleans neatly. It also has a powerful suction for hard floors and can clean multiple surfaces at one time. However the i3 EVO doesn't seem as good at cleaning carpeting and doesn't have the object-avoidance capabilities of the premium J7+ Combo or the s9+.

The i3 EVO is, like the i1+ is pet-friendly with dual multi-surface brushes that adjust and flex to ensure that they stay in contact with carpets and hard floors without getting stuck in knots. The filtration system is able to capture 99.9 percent allergens from cat and dog dander. It connects to both Alexa and Google Assistant, so you can control it using your voice. It's also simple to set a cleaning schedule and view its battery level as well as its history of cleaning and receive app updates.

The i3 EVO has excellent battery life and is quick to recharge. It provides approximately an hour and a half of cleaning before it runs out of power, which is impressive for a robot of this size. You can monitor the remaining battery capacity at the base of the robot, or in the iRobot Home App. It comes with an efficient cleaning time estimation feature that lets you know how it will take to vacuum.

Smart maps on the i3 EVO are an upgrade to the ones on the i1, which allows you to label rooms, include area dividers, and select different cleaning settings for each zone. However unlike the s9+ and j7+ Combo, it doesn't have obstacle avoidance, and as such, it can sometimes hit things like power cords, shoes and toys and doesn't move on.

5. iRobot Roomba Q5 Pro

The Q5 Pro is a smart robot vacuum that also offers the ability to mop. This makes it an excellent choice for homes with pets because the mopping irobot feature helps in the removal of pet hair and other fine particles that a conventional vacuum might overlook. This model also comes with an onboard dust bin that can hold 770ml, and it is compatible with Amazon Alexa, allowing you to control the device using voice commands.

The result is a fast and effective cleaning that reduces the number of passes needed to cover the entire flooring area.

The Q5 Pro's capacity to remove debris from bare floors is another major advantage. It can easily remove large and medium-sized cereal or rice pieces off a hard surface. It can also be used to pick up finer material, such as sand, that may be left near walls or corners.

The only difference between the Q5 Pro, and the pricier iRobot Roomba i8+, is that the latter feels more durable, has a few more advanced features, and is being better at sealing in fine allergens. The Q5 Pro is a great option for those on a budget. It comes with a longer runtime, and it is compatible with an automatic dock that empty itself. This reduces the necessity for manual maintenance.
