He loved Persephone very much. Her annual return to Hades was responsible for managing the seasons. Her absence created harsh winters, but her return brought life-giving springs.

Ambrosia

You've probably heard that Nectar, a rare cousin of Nectar, can be used to build relationships with deities if you play the godlike Roguelite Hades. But have you come across Ambrosia which is a lesser-known cousin to Nectar that can be used for different uses? This guide will help you understand how to access this incredibly powerful resource.

Ambrosia is an esoteric substance that the Greek gods consumed or drank. It was believed to confer immortality to anyone who consumed it. It was also used as a perfume, because it could cover the foulest of smells. In the Odyssey for instance, when Menelaus, his army, and the seal skins they wore were disguised, a goddess carrying ambrosia descending from heaven appeared to cover up the odor of death.

Ambrosia was a food reserved exclusively for the Olympian gods and oscarreys was frequently used in rituals to define the line between death and immortality. It also was a symbol of divine perfection as depicted in the myth of Achilles who was blessed by his mother Thetis with ambrosia to make him immortal. In the end, however, he was mortal again because his heel was untreated.

In addition to being consumed and drunk by the Olympian gods, ambrosia was used as a salve or ointment for wounds, or to anoint corpses. In two myths, it was mentioned that Apollo utilized ambrosia on the corpse of Sarpedon and Thetis anointed the body of Patroclus. These myths could have been intended to suggest that immortality is a gift which is able to be taken away as easily as it is given.

It is possible that the ambrosia in question was a hallucinogenic fungus known as Amanita Muscaria. It would be a plausible explanation for the belief that it gave immortality, since it was a commonly used hallucinogen among the ancients.

Keepsakes

Like Ambrosia, Keepsakes are used to impress the gods in Hades 2. Supergiant Games' epic reimagining of Greek mythology is packed with some of the most effective pantheon building mechanics in recent times. The game lets you offer Nectar to any god or npc while you fight your way through the Underworld, and Oscar reys (www.oscarreys.top) certain gods will reward you with a the gift of a Keepsake in exchange. These unique items provide useful buffs to help Zagreus escape the Underworld.

Unlike Boons, Keepsakes can be upgraded by the player throughout several runs. This can be accomplished by defeating enemies in areas with the appropriate god's Keepsake attached or by going to the god's shop at the Crossroads. The item's rank will increase and provide a bonus that can be used in combat. Keepsakes are ranked up by the number of encounters that have been defeated with them attached, so they're an effective way to get a massive boost in healing or damage during battles.

There are 16 Keepsakes total, each with a unique benefit. They're an excellent way to make your choices when fighting for your life in the Underworld. They're also a great alternative to the traditional god's Boons If you don't want to wait for them to spawn at the Rift of Thessaly or in the aforementioned God Gate.

Some gods provide special keepsakes that require you to visit their shop in the Underworld. Charon provides a unique spot in the Rift of Thessaly. Sisyphus can be found on one of the ships at the Merchant's Circle and Medea is located in the City of Ephyra. Hecate is god who will grant you a Keepsake if you gift her Nectar to the city of Thebes. However, hers can be difficult to obtain as she only appears during battle above ground.

For example Hecate's Keepsake lets the player automatically restore a certain amount of their magical power each night, up to a limit determined by the Keepsake's rank. It also reduces the amount of front damage the player takes and does slightly more damage when attacking from behind.

Keepsake Keepsake

In addition to the gods themselves, Hades offers a number of other characters for whom you can establish relationships (purely platonic sorry). Giving them bottles of Nectar will sometimes grant them special gifts that boost Zagreus ability when he tries to escape from the Underworld. These gifts are known as Keepsakes and are one of the most important items in the game.

The way they work is simple: each time you clear an encounter, there's a chance that a character will have their Keepsake upgraded by three ranks or more. When the Keepsake reaches rank three, it will unlock a new buff that can be applied to the following encounter. Some examples of these buffs include:

Sigil of Death: Increases ZagreusGod Gauge's default percentage when an encounter begins. Also grants access to Hades Aid Call, which will fill the gauge when activated. It can be improved by leveling it up however, removing it from between levels resets the God Gauge percentage to zero.

Each god's Keepsake provides unique buffs, which can be extremely useful in both the early and late stages of the game. We recommend you pick up the Cerberus Keepsake Old Spiked Collar as soon as you can to increase your health.

The rest of the gods' Keepsakes are also worth grabbing as soon as you can. The Arachne and Narcissus ones are particularly good since they'll allow you to get a new weapon early on while the Poseidon and Megaera ones will let you take more damage when you attack from behind.
