Developer Supergiant Games' 2020 roguelike Hades is getting a sequel. It's an ambitious move that increases the stakes and offers deeper look into familial politics.

Melinoe is back on a quest to kill Chronos the titan of time. She'll encounter new gods and specters, including the personification of light Apollo and the goddess of witchcraft Hecate, and the deity of the retribution Nemesis.

1. Hades 2 Technical Test

If you're a big fan of Supergiant Games and their highly famous 2020 roguelike Hades is a good bet, then it could be worth your while to sign up to participate in the technical test for the sequel. The studio says its Early Access launch is on the horizon, and a playtest will help them to iron out any bugs that are present in a smaller player base than the full 1.0 release.

Signing up is as simple as visiting the game's Steam page, and oscarreys mashing the "request access" button. There is a limited amount of slots available and not all applicants will be chosen. The technical test lets players explore the first level of Hades 2 with early-game content characters, systems, and characters. Those who clear the area will be "gently encouraged" to stop playing, and be patiently waiting for the Early Access version, which should launch soon.

The new game is based on Melinoe who is the daughter of Hades, and her journey to the Underworld to save her family. The game will explore Greek mythology more deeply than the first. Melinoe is joined by her Aunt Hecate. The sequel offers a range of new abilities and sexy Gods for her to impress.

Hades 2 builds on the Roguelike gameplay of the previous and features a brand new protagonist and an expanded roster of Greek gods to woo. Supergiant aims to achieve the same level of responsive gameplay and rich visuals that made its predecessor an award-winning contender for Game of the Year when it was released in 2021.

Participants in the technical test will be able to select various boons to each room as well as battle minibosses and enemies, and fight the boss of that area. They will also be able select permanent upgrades as well as challenge "God Mode."

Hades 2 will feature more levels, enemies and voiced characters important areas than the final version of the original. The original Hades is a modern classic. The sequel however, is a complete ripoff in almost every way. Featuring satisfying combat with more depth than ever before the roguelite is an entirely realized game just waiting on some final touches to make it a complete masterpiece.

Apart from its stunning graphics, Hades 2 introduces a number of new and interesting characters and features that enrich the experience and challenge players in ways they have never imagined. In addition to the new gods shades, items, and gods that populate the Underworld there's a wide array of items available to collect and upgrade via Incantations. This system of constant upgrades can be found throughout every run. Melinoe can also craft new spells, improve her nocturnal arms and Nocturnal Armor. She can also collect items from the crossroads camp to use in future runs, and unlock trinkets, weapons boons, pathways, and other tools as she moves through.

The introduction of more open areas is a welcome addition. These regions offer numerous routes to explore each region, and the setting is constantly changing to explore. Each region offers a unique take on the Underworld. Some are more accessible than others, but all provide unique challenges that separate them from other roguelites.

Supergiant has also tweaked gameplay in the early-access build. This reduces some of the effort required to achieve certain upgrades, and Oscarreys.top makes it easier to move between zones. Hades 2 is still far from being finished However, Supergiant has announced that it will continue to improve the game and make it perfect.

Supergiant is known for listening to its customers and responding to any issues that pop up, which is evident in the way it's handled the early access release of Hades 2. Even though it's a long time before the full version becomes available Hades 2 already feels like a worthy addition to your gaming shelf.

3. Hades 2 Beta

Hades was a roguelike that was unlike the rest when it came out in the year of 2018. The game was awarded multiple awards and is considered to be one of the greatest games ever created. It's not a surprise that the game resonated so well with the public, due to its rich narrative rooted in Greek Mythology, stories of family struggles and LGBTQ+ representation which feels natural and inclusive. It was no surprise to those who loved the film when Supergiant announced that a sequel would be in the works.

Seven years after its initial release, Hades 2 has finally been released to early access. Although it doesn't alter much mechanically, the love and effort that Supergiant invested in Hades 2 is clear from the start.

According to the Steam page of Hades 2, "the game brings back all the elements that were so unique in the first game one: the isometric perspective, clearing rooms, selecting boons and launching powerful attacks, the Hub World with the presence of a fully voiced character to talk to and learn from, as well as the ever-changing Underworld."

In addition to these returning features, the technical test adds some new ones too. You can unlock permanent upgrades for Melinoe and a brand Oscar Reys new weapon. You'll also have the ability to tame witchy familiars, reveal secrets at the Arcana Altar, and gather ingredients that will enhance your abilities.

The most impressive addition to the game is probably Omega attacks. These are new ways to increase the power of your weaponry and spells. These attacks will increase the power of your magick meter, allowing you to unleash devastating attacks over a an extensive area of effect. This is a novel way to add more variety to the action of combat.

Hades 2 beta is available both on Steam and Epic Games Store. Supergiant has said that they will keep players informed as they work towards a 1.0 release in 2024. In the meantime, you can wishlist the game on both platforms to be notified when it launches.

4. Hades 2 Release Date
