best irobot roomba Roomba Vacuum Cleaner

If you are looking for an unassuming robot vacuum that doesn't have the features that make other models, this one is a great choice. It was great at cleaning up pet hair, Cheerios and kitty litter on hardwood floors.

It maps rooms quickly and offers solid obstacle avoidance. It can be controlled by hand using the remote included.

1. iRobot Roomba s9+

The s9+ robot vacuum is the best we've ever tested to clean hard floors and carpets. It has the strongest suction power of any robotic vacuum cleaner available. It also does an excellent job at eliminating pet hair. It can also be programmed to make multiple passes or alter the level of suction depending on the size of the room, a feature we haven't seen on other models. The app lets you alter how it works and even choose when it starts working so you can be in the room while it's moving.

The smart mapping feature creates a precise map of your house to assist the s9+ to navigate and create efficient routes. It's also self-emptying, meaning it doesn't require any intervention on your part while cleaning and it can return to its base and recharge during the cleaning (though you might hear it return to its dock as it gets settled, a sound that sounds like the sound of a jet engine taking off). In our tests the s9+ blasted around obstacles like tables and power cables with ease and never lost its charge or became stuck. However, it doesn't have the hazard avoidance capabilities that is available in newer models. It can also become entangled in rug tassels and other obstructions that it's unable to see.

In contrast to most circular robots the s9+ has a flat front and has an unsquared front, which helps it get to corners faster than round models. It is also quieter than our previous irobot for hardwood floors robot and smaller than the Neato Botvac D7. It's not cheap, but it's an excellent value given the quality of its performance and the fact that you don't have to worry about cleaning an unclean bin afterward. It's often available for sale during Black Friday, Cyber Monday and Amazon Prime Day.

2. irobot Vacuum cleaner Roomba J7+

The j7+ robotic vacuum is among the most intelligent vacuum cleaners on the market. It's equipped with iRobot Genius technology that gives it the ability to recognize obstacles and maneuver around them, meaning that you don't need to worry about it smashing into furniture or walls. It also slows down when it comes close to an object so that it can gently scrub edges. This is particularly helpful if you own small pets that leave a mess behind.

Another amazing characteristic of the j7+ is that it can mop and vacuum with the help of a special mopsitter. If it detects that you're on a floor that requires mopping, it switches from the normal cleaning mode and deploys an arm that is a tiny robot with an attached pad. It scrubs the floor using the light touch that left my floors looking and feeling like they'd been properly cleaned.

After it's finished mopping the j7+ goes back to its dock and recharges. It then drives back to where it left off, and continues to clean. It usually runs for 85 minutes, or more or less, in my house before needing to return to the dock to recharge. That's less than the s9+, however it's nonetheless impressive for a device that can do both vacuuming and mopping.

The j7+, just like other iRobot vacuum cleaners, avoids obstacles and recognizes them. It also has what iRobot calls Cliff Detect technology, which prevents it from falling down the stairs. It's a great security feature for families.

The j7+'s onboard bin is relatively small, so you'll need return it to the dock to empty it often if your home is large. The J7+ can be stored easily. The all-in-one Clean Base acts as a charging dock and also an external dustbin, and an internal bin where the j7+ can store dirt.

3. Shark iQ

This elegant 2-in-1 robot vacuums and sonic mops carpets as well as hard floors simultaneously. It also has Matrix Clean Navigation, which makes use of a grid to provide whole-home cleaning coverage. The vacuum automatically emptys after each run. You can also see the battery status and current life of the vacuum by looking at two lights on top. To empty the dirt receptacle simply press a button which unlocks the bin. It holds up to a week's worth of garbage, and the process is simple enough to be done from any place in the house.

The model is stunning on bare floors but struggles on floors with low pile. It also struggles to hold large amounts of debris when the dirt compartment gets filled. It is nevertheless well constructed and has a lengthy battery life, which you can extend using the eco-friendly 'Eco' mode.

The Shark IQ is compatible with both Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant and allows you to control it using your voice. Its app allows you to name your robot (mine is Sharky Shark), remotely enable and schedule its runs and track your cleaning history as well as any error notifications. You can also create maps of your house and manually create zones that are not allowed to enter.

The Shark iQ costs more than the iRobot Roomba j7+ but it has superior app features and mapping and also superior performance on all surfaces. It also charges faster and is stuck on rug tassels fewer often, which lowers its recurring costs. Unfortunately, this model can't be kept away from areas that contain pet bowls or furniture, and you'll need physical boundary strips to keep it out of certain objects.

4. iRobot Roomba 694

With an elegant, premium design that is a perfect match for your home's decor The Roomba 694 is a great robot vacuum for those looking for an easy-to-use set it and forget it device. It identifies your habits for cleaning to provide you with a personalized schedule and also works with Google Assistant or Alexa voice assistants to let you start cleaning with the sound of your voice. It makes use of a wide range of sensors to help you navigate the obstacles in your home. A smart bumper cushions the impact of bumping into furniture walls or legs, while four "cliff" sensors along the front and sides inform it when it's nearing a dropoff, such as the stairs or balcony and allows it to back away from the edge.

This model is a great option for the robot vacuums that cost less than $300 range. This model has a three-stage cleaning system with dual multi-surface brushes that get rid of dirt from carpets or hard floors. Edge-sweeping tools take care of edges and corners. The robot vacuum also comes with a slew of convenience features, including Dirt Detect, which will automatically is more active in heavily soiled areas. It can be programmed to clean at specified time intervals and also has an app for remote control.

The Roomba 694 from iRobot isn't as technologically advanced as the i7, which can self-empty its own dust bin but it lacks a mapping system, nor the ability to create virtual boundary markers. It is more robust and has lower recurring expenses than the eufy RoboVac G30. It also has a bigger dust bin and charges faster.

5. Eufy 11s

The Eufy 11s robot vacuum is a small but attractive machine that offers a good value for the price. It sucks pet hair well and has a large dirt compartment and can run for a long duration on a single charge. It's difficult to maintain and navigate, which is a major issue. It doesn't have an app companion and voice control, however it does come with a simple remote. It also doesn't give you a notification when the dust bin is full, so you'll need to check it regularly.

The eufy is better than the bObsweep Bob Pro in many ways however, it's not as efficient as the iRobot Roomba 694 in a lot of other ways. The iRobot Roomba 694 is much better constructed, has less parts to keep in good condition, a HEPA filter and lasts longer on one charge, and provides better cleaning performance for floors that are bare, low-pile and high-pile. It also comes with a smarter navigation system that is able to maneuver around obstacles and has more advanced automated features, including boundary strips.

While the eufy is an excellent choice, I recommend the irobot price Roomba 900 Series for most users. The iRobot Roomba 900 Series is simpler to maintain, better built, has a bigger dustbin and performs better on all surfaces. It's also more efficient in recharge and provides a longer maximum battery life.

The eufy robot is better than the ILIFE A4s but not as good as the top-end models like the Roborock S7 maxV Ultra. The iRobot has a higher-quality build, a larger dustbin and is able to pay for fewer monthly expenses. It also has a better navigation system that can move over obstacles and has more advanced automation capabilities, like boundary strips. The iRobot is also more efficient in collecting pet hair and it is more easy to maintain than the eufy.
