iRobot Black Friday Deals

With robot vacuums that are smart, you can eliminate chores to clean off your list of things to do during the festive season. And this year, Black Friday deals are more appealing than ever.

Save big on top-rated models, such as the iRobot Roomba Combo j5+ robotic vacuum and mop. This home appliance features an intelligent mapping feature, self-emptying capabilities and edge-sweeping brushing that prevents pet hair from becoming stuck.

Roomba J7+

The Roomba J7+ robot mop and vacuum is iRobot's most versatile robot combo. It is a combination of intelligent cleaning and self-emptying technology, in addition to the best irobot vacuum and mop features from both products. It's a great option for homes with busy schedules. The irobot robots Home App makes it easy to install your Roomba J7+ and get started cleaning.

The app will guide users through the configuration of Wi-Fi and the process is straightforward but I did have to download the most recent software on my phone to enable it to work. After a few prompts the app requests your permission to connect to other devices on your network and finds your new robot. It's important to keep the app updated regularly, as it provides updates for your iRobot devices.

When you're done, j7+ takes care of the rest of the heavy lifting. It can create an outline of the area in just 20 minutes, and vacuum or mop with precision on any floor. The intelligent sensor system is able to sense rugs and hardwood floors and select the appropriate mode. It also knows how to use side and power brushes, which help to avoid knots.

In my test I used a j7+ to clean a family room, an entryway and a kitchen that has carpeted flooring and area rugs. It also cleaned the upstairs hallway with carpet and two bedrooms. The j7+ cleaned each room well, removing everything from pet fur, everyday dirt, popcorn and crumbs during movie night. It's also extremely quiet, with just 60db. This is the same as a normal conversation and is a little less than the CDC's recommended levels for disturbing noise.

The j7+'s standout feature is its obstacle detection feature, which detects pet waste, charging cables shoes, and other toys. You can also program j7+ to ensure that it does not enter certain areas or objects. In my tests, I observed that the j7+ could detect and avoid any obstacle.

The iRobot j7+ is one of the most expensive robotic vacuums and mops available on the market, yet it offers plenty of value and will make your to-do list short. Its cutting-edge technology and suction power are unbeatable.

Roomba S9+

The Roomba s9+ robot vacuum is the first iRobot robot vacuum to utilize "Perfect Edge Technology", which allows it to be closer to corners and edges. It also has a slimmer appearance, making it appear less intimidating than other robotic vacuums. Its svelte body is black, with the lid opening in rose gold to allow for cleaning and dumping. The controls are located on the side, not in the middle as with other models and it's shorter than other models, such as the Neato Botvac D7.

The s9+ is 40 times more powerful than the previous generation model. It also features a compact brush design that is supposed to help it pick up more debris with just one sweep. In my tests it cleaned up 95 percent of Cheerios on carpets, and 90% on hardwood. It did, however, crush a few pieces of hard cereal, which sent them flying across the floor.

It's easy to set up the s9+ and use it, because of its intuitive app. It lets you schedule cleaning, decide which rooms to clean, and even use voice commands with Alexa or Google Assistant. The app allows you to check your cleaning progress and battery life.

Once the s9+ is finished, it goes back to its base, which also doubles as an charging station and a dirt bin. Its dustbin is easy to clean and replace, and it's about half the size of other models. You can also purchase a second dustbin to keep in the bottom for additional cleaning.

The s9+ can also work in tandem with the iRobot Braava jet M6 mopping bot. This is accomplished through iRobot Imprint Link Technology. It allows them to share information and communicate. The s9+ docks its Clean Base when it finishes vacuuming and tells Braava that it's ready to mop. This combination is excellent to tackle large, messy areas, like a playroom following your child's birthday celebration. It's also a great option to clean up spills or sticky places. This robot is an ideal addition to any home.

Shark's AI Ultra

The Shark AI Ultra robot vacuum and mop is a 2-in-1 robot that combines powerful vacuuming throughout the house with sonic cleaning to thoroughly clean hard floors. It has an enormous self-emptying bin that can store debris for up to 60 days, which means you won't need to empty it frequently. It also has superior obstacle detection than other robots, which allows it to avoid obstacles like furniture and pet hair. Some users have complained that the base fills quickly and isn't able to empty as advertised.

The AI Ultra navigation system maps your home using 360-degree LIDAR. It creates a detailed floor plan and lets you mark rooms as No-Go zones within the app. It can also move around objects and stay within the limits of your home, even in dark areas. The mop also has UltraClean which cleans your floor up to 50 percent more quickly than traditional mopping.

The navigational system is an enormous improvement from Shark's previous designs, which include the IQ, EZ, and ION. It utilizes a matrix grid that covers your entire room multiple times, so it doesn't miss a thing. It's also small enough to maneuver under tables and couches and it is able to climb over electrical cords and rugs without getting stuck.

The Ultra is a little more expensive than the RoborockQ5+ (9/10 from WIRED) however it has a bigger dirt capacity and is easier to maintain. It's also compatible with a self-emptying dock and does a better job maneuvering its own. It has a larger vacuum motor and is less susceptible to get lost in dense carpeting. Despite its advantages, I still prefer the IQ robot vacuum cleaner since it has batteries that last for a long time as well as a self-emptying bin and a more efficient navigation system. If you're looking to find an affordable alternative Shark's AI Ultra is a great choice. It has fewer components that require regular cleaning, has the same battery life and feels better built. It's also priced around $50 less than the Q5. However, if you're looking for a self-emptying bin, I'd recommend the Roborock.

Braava Jet M6

The Braava Jet is irobot for hardwood floors’s most sophisticated mopping Robot Vacuums iRobot. It uses precision jet spray to dissolve and loosen sticky spills, kitchen grease, and other household grime without damaging carpets or furniture. It also can tackle tough pet stains and dirt, leaving your floors looking new. It's an automated cleaner that can begin or stop the process at any time and works with smart home devices, such as Google assistant or Alexa.

The m6 is easy to install. Connect the mop to its base station, and then, fill its tank with water. Then download the iRobot app and follow the instructions to connect to your Wi-Fi network. Once connected the m6 is ready to go to work. To begin a cleaning project simply press one of the three buttons directly on the device or use the app to trigger the cleaning process. The m6 will also automatically recharge when it is running low on power, and will keep working until the task is done. It also comes with Keep Out Zones, which allows you to instruct it to avoid areas like the area around your dog's bed or a coffee spill.

Unlike most vacuum cleaners, the m6 does not require a lot of energy to operate. It requires only enough power to spray water, move around your home, and keep the wireless connection. During my tests, even a long mopping session that ran for two hours didn't deplete the battery to a great extent.

The m6 has three pre-set mopping options to select from: standard mode balances cleaning power and surface coverage, deep mode focuses more on stubborn dirt, and extended coverage mode mop larger areas with less time. You can also alter the settings of your m6 using the iRobot App. You can create an individual schedule that can be controlled by your other smart devices.

The m6 uses the latest vSLAM navigation to map your home and arrange it in neat rows. It cleans every inch of your floor. It is small and compact and can fit in between and around furniture. It has not been tangled or trapped in my home and the batteries aren't running low. You can control the robot via an iRobot App or voice if you own an Google Assistant or Alexa device.
